A couple of Little League Baseball World Series Regionals will determine who plays for a ticket to Williamsport, while other regions see elimination games for the first time on Monday.

Hamilton (OH) vs. Grosse Pointe Farms (MI)

Ohio is coming an exciting game that they found themselves on the wrong end on. They went back-and-forth with London (KY) on Sunday, but gave up three runs in the top of the sixth. Despite Hamilton closing the gap in the bottom-half of the frame, they were unable to complete the comeback, falling by a score of 7-6. Nate Lineback went 2-3 with a home run and a pair of RBIs.

Grosse Pointe Farms was able to stay alive thanks to an excellent offensive performance against Hinsdale (IL) on Sunday. After surrendering a 2-0 lead in the second inning, Michigan came up with four runs in the third inning, and the defense took over from there, securing a 6-3 win. Cole Wortman pitched a complete game, striking out four in the process. Wortman also had a solid game in the batter’s box, going 2-3 with two RBIs.

Hagerstown (IN) vs. London (KY)

The winner of this game will be the first team to punch their ticket to the championship game on Wednesday.

A hot start for Hagerstown against Grosse Pointe Farms (MI) helped put them two wins away from a ticket to Williamsport. Two runs in the first inning, followed up by three in the second, sent the team from Indiana on their way to a 6-2 win. Kaden Hall did it both at the plate and on the mound, striking out five, giving up just one hit in 2.1 innings, while also driving in a run.

London’s Cinderella story continues. They went run-for-run with Hamilton (OH) on Sunday. With the game tied at four heading into the sixth, Cooper Parman hit a three-run homer to give Kentucky the lead. Despite Ohio making things close in the bottom of the frame, Parman was able to shut the door, giving his team the 7-6 win. Parman went 3-4 at the plate with four RBIs, also grabbing three strikeouts in the final inning.

Massapequa (NY) vs. Fairfield (CT)

New York was able to take their first game of the regionals in a hard-fought battle with Toms River (NJ). The teams traded runs in the first inning, before Massapequa surrendered a two-run lead in the fourth. With the game tied at three heading into extra innings, New York scored three runs, with Mikey Castellano hitting a two-run home run, sending Massapequa to a 6-3 win. Christian Bekiers had himself a day, going 4-4 with an RBI.

A strong start from pitcher Will Ryan and timely hitting helped Fairfield pick up a win over Cumberland (RI) this past Saturday. Ryan struck out seven, giving up just one run in four innings, while Drew Kane kept Rhode Island at bay in relief. Connecticut received all of their runs in in the fourth inning, needing just four hits to come away with a 3-1 win.

Northwest Washington (DC) vs. Williamsport (MD)

The team from the nation’s capital struggled late in the game, as Holidaysburg (PA) scored four runs in the final two innings on Sunday, downing Washington, D.C. by a score of 7-3. Grayson Liddle and Dylan Higginbotham were the only two players from NW Washington to pick up hits, with Liddle driving in a run.

Maryland ended up in a close battle with Wilmington (DE), despite not registering a single hit. A couple of errors led to them scoring the tying run in the sixth inning, but Delaware was able to score in the bottom portion of the inning, handing Williamsport a 2-1 defeat.

Kenosha (WI) vs. Coon Rapids (MN)

Coon Rapids was able to keep their tournament alive with some clutch hitting against Sioux Falls (SD) on Saturday. Minnesota jumped out in front 4-0 after the first inning, before the team from South Dakota rallied back with four of their own in the third. Yet, Coon Rapids received a clutch hit from Chase Groshong in the fourth. The defense shut the door from there, walking away with a 5-4 win.

Wisconsin’s first loss came in dramatic fashion on Sunday when they took on Davenport (IA). After Kenosha took a 2-1 lead in the third inning, Iowa was able to tie the game in the fifth, before Wisconsin gave up the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, falling by a score of 3-2. Tytus Nichter still had solid performance at bat, going 3-4 with a run scored.

Pittsburgh (KS) vs. Fargo (ND)

The team from Kansas was able to avoid elimination by taking advantage of their opportunities against Kearney (NE). After taking a 1-0 lead in the opening inning, Pittsburg put up a four-spot to take a sizeable lead. A couple more insurance runs later in the game helped send Kansas to a 7-0 win. Brycen Farris led the lineup, going 2-4 at the plate, scoring a pair of runs in the process.

Fargo’s first loss of the regional was a little more one-sided than they would have liked. Even though they erased a three-run deficit with four runs in the third inning on Sunday against Webb City (MO), the team from Missouri ended up scoring 14 runs over the next three innings, handing North Dakota the mercy-rule loss, final score 17-7. Henry Schrum hit a homer for Fargo, while Eli Schneider went 2-3 with an RBI.

Billings (MT) vs. Gillette (WY)

One bad inning hurt Billings in their first game of the tournament on Sunday. When taking on Henderson (NV), Montana ended up allowing four runs in the fourth inning, which put them in a hole they were unable to climb out of, and ended up losing by a score of 4-2. Grady Martin ended up going 2-3 with an RBI for Billings.

Gillette also had one inning that ended up being the difference on Sunday. In leading Santa Clara 4-2 in the third inning, Wyoming gave up five runs, and were unable to recover, losing 7-4. Aydin Jeffress hit a home run for Gillette, while Corbin Baysinger led the team, going 3-3 with an RBI.

Bangor (ME) vs. Middleborough (MA)

A combined no-hitter by Jacoby Harvey and Caden Karam highlighted the first game of the New England Regional on Saturday, as they helped Bangor keep Brattleboro at bay in a 3-0 win. Harvey went 5.1 innings, only pulled because of pitch count, striking out 14 in an incredible performance. Offensively, Maine received timely hitting, with Daxton Gifford and Thomas Fournier each driving in a run.

Jayden Murphy was on point on Saturday in Middleborough’s tournament opener against Concord (NH). The youngster struck out nine, giving up just two hits in 5.1 innings of scoreless work. The deciding play came in the top of the sixth when Gavin Gilipatrick hit a solo homer, which ended up being enough in a 1-0 win.

Harris County (GA) vs. South Riding (VA)

Winner of this game will meet Nolensville (TN) in the regional championship game on Tuesday.

A late rally helped out South Riding eliminate Durham (NC) on Sunday. Despite Virginia taking a 3-0 lead, North Carolina put up a four-spot in the fifth inning to take the lead. However, South Riding rallied in the sixth, scoring of trio of runs, and shut things down in the bottom of the inning to hang on for a 6-4 win. Ryan Bahr had another great hitting performance, going 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Harris County has to quickly bounce back after suffering their first loss of the regional on Sunday, where four runs for Nolensville in the first inning put the Georgia squad in a spot that they were unable to comeback from, and ended up losing 9-3. Will Dimitri had a solid game even though his team was defeated, going 2-3 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored.

Wylie (TX-West) vs. Tulsa (OK)

The winner of this game will play Pearland (TX-East) in the regional championship on Tuesday.

After losing their second game of the tournament, Tulsa has managed to win back-to-back games to move within a game of the championship contest. Oklahoma has a dominant 15-7 win over Arkansas, and a couple of runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull out a 4-3 walk-off win over Mississippi on Sunday heading into Monday. Hunter Hodges has been one of their best hitters, going 5-13 with six RBIs.

Texas West has to quickly lick their wounds after a rough game against Pearland (TX-East). After falling behind early, Wylie gave up 14 runs in the game, handing Wylie to their first loss of the regional, 19-0 the final score.

Bonney Lake (WA) vs. Lewiston (ID)

The offense came alive late in the game for Bonney Lake in their first regional game against Bend (OR) on Saturday. After taking an early 1-0 lead, Washington surrendered the tying run in the fourth. However, they bounced back in the fifth and sixth, scoring a combined nine runs, three of which came off a home run from Liam Ferguson, helping Bonney Lake to a 10-1 win. Braydon Rudolph had a great game at the plate, going 4-4 with a pair of runs scored.

A pair of runs off of a Dallas Richardson home run in the opening half inning helped send Idaho over Anchorage (AK) on Saturday. Lewiston was able to ride off a great start from pitcher Carson Henson to a 3-1 win. Henson struck out five in 3.1 innings, with Richardson also coming in to strike out four in two innings pitched.

Rocklin (N-CA) vs. Honolulu (HI)

Behind a great pitching performance from Parker Lively, Rocklin was able to start their tournament on the right foot. In 5.1 innings, Lively struck out four, giving up just three hits. Northern California jumped out in front the first inning thanks to a two-run homer from Brandon Williams. Williams repeated the feat in the third inning, and Rocklin added one more run on their way to a 5-0 win. Kobe Martinez-Nusz and Andy Jimenez-Regalado also had two hits on Saturday.

Jaron Lancaster was excellent on the rubber for Honolulu in their first game against Glendora (S-CA) on Saturday. The kid ended up with 12 strikeouts in 4.1 innings, giving up just one hit. Hawaii jumped out in front with a run in the third inning, and added a couple of insurance markers in the sixth to come away with a 3-0 win. Brennan Tomas ended up going 2-3 in the win, driving in a run and picking up an RBI.
