Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action from Wednesday, Sept. 14.

John Carroll 7, Park 1: Annie Bennett had four goals to lead the host Patriots (1-1, 1-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) over the Bruins (2-1, 0-1).

Fallston 2, Harford Tech 0: The game was scoreless into the third quarter before the Cougars struck. Rylee DeVito and Hailey Johnson each scored to lead the host Cougars. Bella Price made 12 saves for the Cobras.

North Harford 7, Patterson Mill 0: Julia Blondell had a hat trick and Isabelle Hendrics scored twice in the Hawks’ win. Korynn Sims had a goal and an assist, Abbey Saltzer also scored and Kaley Mullhausen dished out four assists.

Franklin 3, Perry Hall 1: In the loss, freshman Delaney Evans scored her first career goal for Perry Hall.

Liberty 2, Tuscarora 0: The Lions picked up the win behind goals from Jenna Evans and Lucy Davidson. Gwen Yeafor made four saves in goal to earn the shutout.

Annapolis Area Christian School 1, Glenelg 1: CJ Summa put the Eagles on the board in the first quarter and the goal held until the final minute of regulation when Glenelg tied it up. Neither team could score in OT, but AACS’ Sarah Billett came up with some big saves in the cage and senior Ashley Thompson had a defensive save.

Long Reach 2, Oakland Mills 0: Alicia Bauer and Kendall Madison scored the Lightning goals as Shyann Hansen made five saves.

Mt. Hebron 3, Reservoir 0: The Vikings built a 2-0 halftime lead and built on it in the second half as Iva Damyanova scored twice and Leen Jawhar added a goal. Sheridan Stokes had a pair of assists with Maria Brogno also adding an assist. Skylar Zook made seven saves for Reservoir.

Marriotts Ridge 2, Glenelg 1: The Mustangs got the victory in a double overtime thriller as Giavana Liberto and Mira Shelat scored the goals. Shelat assisted Liberto’s goal and Una Rimmel made six saves. Claire Stern scored for Glenelg on an assist from Stephanie Lathrop as Bella Buscher made 11 saves for the Gladiators.

Mount de Sales 2, Roland Park 1: Shelby Lewis and Erin Antone each scored to lead the host Sailors (3-1, 1-0 ) over the Reds (1-3, 0-1).

Havre de Grace 3, Elkton 2 OT: Emily Ewers scored two goals, including the game-winner for the host Warriors (1-1). Lila Vincenti added the other Warriors goal.

Howard 10, Hammond 0: Ashley Mason made eight saves for the Golden Bears in the defeat, as Asti Ingileifardóttir also made three saves.

River Hill 3, Atholton 0: The Hawks (4-1, 3-0) led 1-0 at the half and extended the lead in the second half as Allie Lubitz, Madison Berge and Katie Huang each scored. Zareen Mathew and Lubitz tallied assists as Allie Billups made three saves.

Long Reach 3, Chesapeake 0: The Lightning earned the victory 25-18, 25-8, 25-9. Addy Van Oosten led the way offensively with 15 kills as Allison Brown added 10. Sasha Koola had four aces, while Hayley Norton had 33 assists.

Marriotts Ridge 3, Oakland Mills 0: The Mustangs (4-0, 3-0) earned a 25-11, 25-15, 25-14 victory. Rhisen Davis led Marriotts Ridge with 12 kills and nine digs, as Vivian O’Brien added seven kills and four digs. Leah Liu had four aces and eight digs, while Eva Hull ignited the offense with 23 assists.

Mt. Hebron 3, Southern 0: The Vikings won 25-10, 25-17, 25-18. Ava Bradley had 17 kills, as Emerson Rose had 18 assists. Caroline Zheng anchored the defense with 11 digs.

Reservoir 3, Good Counsel 0: The Gators earned the sweep 25-18, 25-10, 25-23. Maddie Beckett had a team-high 10 kills as Madison Hill had nine kills and Mayah Tucker chipped in seven. Gabby Allen anchored the Gators defensively with 16 digs.

Aberdeen 3, Elkton 0: Savanna Murdock led the win with six kills and three aces. Jocelyn Kruger had five kills and Jasmin Adams chipped in four kills.

Liberty 3, Walkersville 0: Liberty went to 3-0 after sweeping Walkersville 25-21, 25-15, 25-16. Paige Coulson had a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs. She also served four aces. Sarah Hart finished with 12 kills and nine digs. Jenna Liska added four kills, four aces and four digs, while Grace Maerten had 25 assists, five aces, three kills and three digs.

Broadneck 3, Howard 0: The Bruins earned the sweep 25-20, 25-18, 29-27. Bella Rubino had 10 kills and eight digs in the win. Casey Gish had seven kills and three aces, Hannah Waters had 14 digs and Madeline Stewart tossed up 31 assists to go with five kills.

Parkville 3, Loch Raven 1: The Knight earned the win behind seven aces and six kills from Faith Johnson. Karis Hill led with eight kills and also put down two kills. Olivia Sorrell chipped in four kills and two aces.

Carver A&T 3, Dundalk 0: Carver earned the win 25-16, 25-14, 25-16.

Maryvale Prep 3, St. John’s Catholic Prep 0: Maryvale opened with two quick sets before having to work extra to close the match out in three, eventually earning the win 25-11, 25-8, 28-26. Libby Potter had a double-double with 12 kills and 17 digs. Athena Savick led the defense with 17 digs to go with five aces. Kaitlyn Hall tossed up 21 assists to go with four aces and four digs.

Havre de Grace 3, Joppatowne 2: The Warriors dropped the first two sets before rallying to win the final three and the match 17-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-6. Carla Dunson had five kills and two aces, Azareya Whiting had four kills and Katherine Weber and Kayla Adams each had four aces.

Manchester Valley 168, Winters Mill 176, Francis Scott Key 230: The Mavericks’ Parker Bopst was four shots better than any other golfer at Links at Gettysburg on Wednesday. Bopst posted a 38 to lead the win. Jacob Gouge backed him with a 42, Gavin Reid shot a 43 and Jamison Gouge and Matt Hoy each carded 45s. Tyler Kimble led Winters Mill with a 42. Gianni Serafin shot 43, Shane Cole shot 45 and Hayden Brilhart shot 46. McKenna Lanza led FSK with a 52.

Wilde Lake boys 41, Oakland Mills 3: Henry Hilger scored a team-high 18 points for the Wildecats as Antonio Hardy finished second on the team with 12 points. Cayden Mood scored three points for Oakland Mills.

Wilde Lake girls 50, Oakland Mills 6: Laurel Sands and Jane Mhonda both finished with 19 points to pace Wilde Lake. Lindsey Sands added 12, as Kylee Hoffman finished with six points for Oakland Mills.

Severn 22, St. Mary’s 36: The Admirals had three of the top four finishers in beating their archrival in an IAAM B Conference dual meet held at Anne Arundel Community College. St. Mary’s runner Chloe McCarthy took first place with a time of 21 minutes even and was followed by a trio of Severn runners — Ella Foote, Whitney Grimes and Caitlyn Given.

Oakland Mills 3, Long Reach 1: Sam Santos scored a pair of goals to lead the Scorpions, as freshman Greyson Dove also scored his varsity goal. Carlos Contreras had an assist, as Carlos Lopez made seven saves for Oakland Mills.
