The British carmaker is producing a limited number of the 690-hp sports car globally, which features a serious new braking system to tame that power.

Fifteen years since its conceptualization and birth, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage is having its one last ride. This time, the British carmaker is going all out, making the final iteration the fiercest and most dynamically accomplished V12 Vantage. It may not be the last Vantage, but it's the last one with a V12 engine.

The V12 Vantage is returning in 2022 with looks ready to hustle. It features a new front bumper design, a full width front splitter, larger front grille, ‘horse shoe’ engine vent, a new rear bumper with integrated diffuser, a center-mounted twin tailpipe, a dramatic rear wing, and an open rear load space.

Inside, the car retains the layout of the current Vantage, but comes with a Sports Plus Seat trimmed in full semi-aniline leather. Available are new carbon fiber performance seats. Customers can personalize their drives via the Q by Aston Martin service.

Center to the honed driving dynamics of the V12 Vantage is a quad-cam 60-degree 5.2-liter V12 mill providing up to 690 hp at 6,500 rpm and 555 lb-ft of peak torque available between 1,800 rpm and 6,000 rpm. The V12 engine links to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and a rear-mounted mechanical Limited-Slip Differential (LSD).

With this power, the new V12 Vantage can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 mph. Aston Martin saved weight wherever possible by employing carbon fiber parts (front bumper, clamshell bonnet, front fenders and side sills), composite rear bumper and deck lid, a lightweight battery and a 1 mm stainless-steel twin-exit exhaust system.

Helping the V12 Vantage deliver a dynamic driving experience is its new adaptive damping suspension system that includes new anti-roll bars, bushes, and spring and damper assemblies. To increase body stiffness, Aston Martin installed additional front and rear shear panels, a rear suspension tower strut brace and fuel tank bracing.

Great power comes with great responsibility, so Aston Martin installed a Carbon Ceramic Braking (CCB) system as standard, featuring massive discs both at the front and rear. The CCB system hides behind 21-inch alloy wheels in satin black or satin black diamond turned. As standard, the V12 Vantage sits on Michelin Pilot 4S high-performance rubbers.

Sadly, Aston Martin has closed the order book for all 333 examples. It will commence production this quarter and start deliveries next quarter.
